Last year Alabama Christian finished seventh in Class 5A region 2 with a 0-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Eagles would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 4-16 record. Since 2010, Alabama Christian has gone a combined 17-43. Their 28.0% winning percentage ranks 51st in Class 4A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Alabama Christian has managed to compile a record of 109-150. Their 42.0% winning percentage ranks 40th in Class 4A and 264th in the AHSAA. The Eagles are led by head coach Bill Moore who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 6-24 over the past three seasons at Alabama Christian. The Eagles have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Moore. Coach Moore's overall record as a head football coach in three seasons stands at 6-24 (20.0%). The Alabama Christian Eagles will play in Class 4A region 2 during the 2016 season. The Eagles may find the schedule slightly easier this season with the move down in classification from Class 5A to 4A. They will compete in region 2 this year. The Eagles have a good chance to earn one of the playoff slots for Region 2 this season. The Eagles open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Providence Christian on Friday, August 19 . Last year the Providence Christian Eagles finished with an overall record of 8-3 and in second place in Class 2A region 2. The Eagles lost in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs to Washington County by a score of 48-21. Alabama Christian and Providence Christian have met a total of 2 times on the football field.
